The Tel Aviv University Astronomy Club (Astro Club for short) is a
voluntary activity of graduate students of the
Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics
and the Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences,
of Tel Aviv University.
Our aim is to provide, through our activities, opportunities for the
community to learn about, and become interested in astronomy, and to make astronomy,
physics and science in general more accessible and visible to the general public.
The Club's activities include lectures in contemporary issues in astrophysics,
demonstrations and sky observing events.
All activities are open to the general public, free of charge and require
no prior scientific
knowledge.
The club is operated with the kind support of the
School of Physics and Astronomy,
the Florence and George Wise Observatory
and the Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences
Astronomy and Astrophysics events are updated in the Hebrew website.
